8 Days Samburu / Mt.Kenya / Lake Nakuru/ Masai Mara Camping Safaris

Samburu National Reserve is most popular for the Ewaso Ngiro River, which slices through the otherwise bone-dry country. The river acts as a magnet for thirsty animals, and large numbers of elephants, Grevy’s zebras, giraffes and lions gather along the riverbanks.

Mt.Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second highest mountain is Africa. The mountain is an awe-inspiring sight. Its ragged series of peaks are crowned with snow, and its slopes are thick with forest. The mountain is best seen at dawn.

Renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, Lake Nakuru flocks with flamingoes and many other water birds. It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks.

Masai Mara National Reserve is a popular tourism destinations in Kenya- Africa. Most animals are found in this vast park such as the lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration.

Day 1: Nairobi

Arrival at  Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer to the hotel of our choice or one booked upon agreement, dinner at Carnivore Restaurant is recommended.

Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Pick up from the hotel at around 8:00 a.m – 8:3a.m the after commence drive to Samburu National Reserve. Lunch en routed, evening game drive dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast depart the lodge or campsite with picnic lunches, game viewing till 5:30 p.m,back to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve – Mount Kenya Region

After breakfast at the campsite, depart for Mount Kenya ,Take a nature walk climbing a bit of mt. Kenya. It is the second tallest mountain in Africa. The scenery surrounding this designated World Heritage Site is breath-taking.You can enjoy mountain climbing, with the mountain’s rugged glacier-clad peaks providing the perfect backdrop. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 5: Mount Kenya – Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast drive past Nyahururu Falls and into the Rift Valley. Lunch at Nakuru town. Afternoon game viewing drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park. Thereafter drive to Naivasha for dinner and overnight at a budget Hotel.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast visit the crescent for a walk or bicycle ride. At around 11:30 a.m and 12:00 p.m commence drive west past Mount Longonot and via Narok to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, if time allows evening game drive, dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast full day game viewing in masai mara game reserve,tracing the different spices of animals in the park,drive upto the masai mara river where crocodile and hippopotamus can be seeing. Back at the camp at around 5:30 p.m, optional activity is done where by a visit to maasai village or a nature walk is done. dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi

Early morning pre-game drive upto 9:00 a.m, back to the camp for full breakfast then check out and embark on your return journey to Nairobi.Drop at the hotel or transfer to the airport.
