Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya- Africa. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland.
Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino) or even the greatest wildebeest migration.
Masai mara is also best known for it’s luxurious campsites which give visitors the wilderness feeling, as they get to sleep under the stars and come one on one with the animals.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive down the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley, to arrive at Masai Mara Game Reserve in time for an afternoon game drive. Lunch en route. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at a camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives from the comfortable base of the camp, explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi
Leave for an early morning game drive that promises to be thrilling. The sheer enormity of the Mara and the abundance of exotic wildlife offer endless opportunities for excitement. Return to the lodge/tented camp for breakfast and then depart for Nairobi.
